Wiggle, Jiggle & Giggle with Brand New ‘Zumbatomic’ Children’s Class Launch With Cheltenham’s Leisure@!

Zumbatomic is the new Zumba sensation that is sweeping the Cheltenham and Cotswold nation – but this one is dedicated for the mini groovers out there! The class launched it’s very energetic legs over at the Cheltenham’s Leisure@ and Ask Baby were very kindly invited along to check out the scene…

Leisure@ have kick started these fabulous classes with the main aim of getting children active and participating in fun routines. We applaud this ethos as after the school day is over, we don’t really want our lickle pickles to morph into listless TV hero’s now do we? There are two sessions being held, every Thursday, which are age‐specific. This means your mini movers will be dancing away with age similar Dancing Queen’s, or indeed Kings of the D.I.S.C.O. From 4pm to 4.50pm a class is taking place for four to seven year olds, which will be followed at 5pm to 5.50pm with a class for eight to twelve year olds. The structure has been specifically designed for these age groups with the emphasis on promoting overall health and fitness.

Two of the youngest members of Ask Baby attended the younger Zumbatomic class and here is what we have to report. An amazing display of dancing, master-minded by the fully qualified and rather talented Lucy Heath who had a great way of encouraging all of the children in the group to move with great confidence – even for those attending for the first time. And what’s more – the children were actually able to follow her inspirational and easy‐to‐follow routine rather quickly. The parents can also sit and spectate, which makes for an amusing 50 minutes. By the end of the session, we had two, new huge ‘mini-me’ Zumba fans who are still asking when they can return… The sessions also teach the children about their own agility, hand and eye co-ordination, balance, routine and much more…
