Autumnal Family Style

Check out the latest happenings on the Ask Baby style barometer…

GOING UP

Welly-envy… Let’s face it, there’s nothing more cute than an toddler in welly boots in the middle of a big puddle/pile of leaves. If you want double the adorable, then check out Little Pals’ paint-your-own wellies, www.littlepals.co.uk, it’s guaranteed that if you let your little one loose on these beauties, there won’t be another pair like them on the planet!

Coffee catch-ups… If are just desperate to meet up with mummy mates then mother and baby/toddler groups are a god send, but they stop for the holidays… NOOOOO! Don’t despair ABC is here to save the day, da daaaa! Term time has started again and we’ve put all our toddler/baby groups onto www.askbabycotswold.co.uk so they’re at hand whenever you need them, and if you know about one that we don’t, then you can add it to our list – it’s good to share.

Cute cosies… It may be hard to admit, but it’s pyjama time again. If you want to get your super sleeper some über cute PJs then check out www.theirnibs.com. The gorgeous retro prints on its nightwear are irresistible, perfect for snuggling up on the cooler evenings. Zzzzzzzzz. Better be quick, they are currently running a sale too!

Autumn Art Attacks… Centre Arts in Cheltenham is now running a Thursday morning toddler art class – perfect for your pint-sized Picasso. Available throughout term time, and just £3 a session, it could be money well spent if you prefer someone else’s table to get that Jackson Pollock look. For more info contact: arts@centrearts.co.uk.

GOING DOWN

D-light… Apparently the nation isn’t getting enough vitamin D. Derived from sunlight, vitamin D is absorbed by the skin. Unfortunately with our poor summers, dark winters, more sedentary life-styles and high factor sun protection, we’re not stocking up – eek! Check out ABC’s guide on page 5 of the Sept/Oct issue of the magazine to making the most of the autumnal sun, with some great outdoor adventuring to be had in the Cotswolds.

Yummy Mummies… According to a recent article in ‘The Times’ the yummy mummy is no more, the cool mum is queen! We say we’re all yummy and we’re all cool, especially those in the ABC appreciation club – rock on mamas.
